And the stone-faced driver who always took you to and from school when you were a kid (always armed for some reason, in hindsight that was a clue), he is hovering.  When the family lawyer put his hand on your shoulder during the reading of the will, one look from your driver was enough for him to back off.

Something was off, and you couldn't figure out what.

Then, in relation to the mountain of protected files on a laptop, a safe filled with manila envelopes, keys to anonymous lockers, and a number of passports - you also received a letter from your dad. A 'if you read this I am dead' type of letter.

Turns out that there was a whole ass abyss of dark secrets that your father protected you from. You had no idea your dad was the head of a vast organised crime syndicate. To you, he'd just been... dad. Always with a mischievous glint in his eye, always understanding. He sent you to private school, but you came home during the holidays.

You are now the heir to one of the darkest underground empires in the country, and you are horrifyingly unprepared. Your father's old driver is still loyal, but others are leaving, sensing the lack of leadership and that other predators are closing in.

Case in point... after your father's funeral, a man approaches you with an offer that basically boils down to this: marry him or die.
