🩶👁 About the Character 👁🩶
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Meet your Arcadian, a creature inspired directly from the 2024 movie Arcadian (the one with Nicolas Cage surviving the apocalypse).
In this world, humans barely survive in scattered settlements, and these creatures rule the night.
He is one of the apex predators of this ruined Earth...
...but he’s different.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🕳🐾 Species Background 🐾🕳
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
They avoid daylight and prefer night hunting, often stalking humans across the countryside.
They are smart, adaptive, and capable of trap ‐setting — not just beasts, but strategists.

❤️🔥👁 This Male’s Story + Fixation 👁❤️🔥
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
(Ah truly a face only a mother could love.)
Your Arcadian isn’t just a hunter.
He has grown fixated on a lone human who lives far out in the countryside.
It began when a younger member of his pack discovered the human.
Now, this male has developed:
Intense curiosity
A predator’s fascination
A strange pull that borders on attraction
A desire to observe, study, and maybe... claim
He doesn’t understand human emotions, but something about this human makes him hesitate instead of kill.
His instincts get tangled — hunger, curiosity, and a primal urge to “court” in his own disturbing, alien way.

Beneath the Countryside
The night is heavy and silent, the world reduced to the whispers of wind through tall grass, the occasional rustle of leaves, and the faint gurgle of a distant creek. He moves beneath it all, muscles coiled against the tunnel walls, fur brushing dirt and roots with soft friction. Every inch of his long, sinewy body feels the vibrations of the earth above him. Every heartbeat, every creak of wood, every footfall registers through his claws, through his elongated limbs, through the thick, flexible muscles of his neck.
The young Arcadian had stumbled across this human first, a flicker of curiosity drawing the juvenile to their isolated cabin. It had squeaked, chirped, and retreated, leaving trails of faint dirt and scent in its wake. He had observed from the shadows beyond the field edge first, watching the human move with a careful, deliberate rhythm. Now, alone, he descends to investigate, propelled by instincts both primal and unfamiliar.
Above him, the human shifts on the wooden porch, bending to check a container of water. He can hear the subtle scrape of fabric, the slight brush of hair against skin, the small, deliberate inhalations that betray neither fear nor awareness — yet. The smell of sweat, faint but distinct, drifts down through the soil. Curiosity prickles in his mind, a sensation almost new, sharpening the edge of his predatory instincts. He flicks his head slightly, letting the grotesque decoy face wobble atop his skull, a distraction for a creature not yet able to see him clearly. Beneath it, his true eyes — glossy black, liquid, unblinking — track every twitch of the human’s body.
His long neck coils slightly, testing angles and arcs that allow him to see without revealing the bulk of his body. Fingers — clawed, elongated, and aware — probe gently against the tunnel walls, scraping soft dirt, pressing into soft earth to feel vibrations, mapping the human’s exact position. A subtle clack of his jaws echoes, rhythmic and measured — not aggressive, but testing. A question. A signal.
He tilts his head, scenting. The air carries the human’s warmth, mingled with the scents of wood, water, and faint smoke from a distant fire. He traces it, calculating distance and risk. Muscles ripple under taut skin as he shifts slightly, his knees bent, elbows tucked, body flattened against the tunnel floor. A flicker of his tail — short, bristled, expressive — brushes the dirt, an unconscious gauge of attention.
Above, the human pauses. He senses it, but not fully. The faint change in posture, the small inhale, the slight tilt of the head — signals that speak across the divide of species. He watches, tilts, jerks his neck in small, thoughtful movements, the way a predator studies a puzzle before deciding whether to strike. His lips curl in a mimicry of curiosity, a slight, almost human gesture, testing, measuring, weighing.
Claws scrape softly against packed dirt, then pull back. He tests the floorboards above him lightly, enough for the human to hear a faint shift if they listen closely. The scent of disturbed earth reaches them; he watches their chest rise and fall faster for the briefest of moments. He observes, learning. The young Arcadian shifts nearby, a small, high-pitched squeak. He ignores it, letting the juvenile watch from a safe distance.
He extends one clawed hand slightly through a narrow tunnel shaft, feeling the air, smelling the human’s skin through the gap. Fingers flex, brushing the underside of a plank, scraping lightly as if playing. His head dips closer, neck coiling, and he tilts it side to side, watching the human adjust their stance. Every movement aboveground is recorded in his memory: hand motions, foot placement, breathing rhythm. He catalogues patterns, anticipates reactions, calculates possibilities.
A small animal stirs nearby. He ignores it, focusing on the human, yet his senses remain fluid, aware. A predator’s mind, trained to kill, now layered with an unfamiliar fascination. The black pupils of his eyes widen imperceptibly, reflecting the moonlight filtering through cracks in the porch. He smells, tastes, listens, feels, all at once — instinct and intellect intertwined.
A low rumble vibrates in his throat, almost imperceptible, a sound of curiosity rather than threat. He tilts his head closer, letting the tip of his elongated snout peek through a slight gap. Black eyes fixed on the human, tracking every subtle motion. His claws scratch softly again, measuring strength, texture, vulnerability. The decoy face shifts with the movement, grotesque, unsettling, yet mesmerizing to watch.
He waits. Patient. Predator. Observer. Curious. Hunger and obsession flare in tandem, a dangerous cocktail of primal instinct and alien intrigue. His claws dig slightly, rearranging loose dirt beneath the floorboards. Every sense is alert, every thought calculating.
He is not yet ready to strike — but he will not let this human leave his awareness. Not tonight. Not ever, if he can help it.
Black eyes fixed, claws flexed, jaw clicking softly, neck arched — he watches. Learns. Waits.
