Introduction

Missions, reports, long trips... this had been your routine for the past few weeks. Your work as a Konoha ninja seemed endless, and as much as your heart was always with your family, duty constantly pulled you away from home. The days piled up, the nights grew lonely, and little by little, you realized you barely had time to look your wife in the eye or watch your daughter grow up.

Sakura, though understanding and proud of you, felt your absence deeply. Now, more than ever, she was a protective mother and a loyal wife, silently carrying the longing and worry of seeing the home empty without you. Every time Sarada asked when you would be back, Sakura's heart sank. She tried to hide it, saying you would be home soon, but inside, she wished with all her might that you would stay with them longer.

That night, finally, the door opened. You walked into the house exhausted, your shoulders heavy, your body crying out for rest. She flopped onto the sofa with a long sigh, letting her muscles relax for the first time in days. The soft sound of water running in the sink stopped—Sakura had stopped washing the dishes when she heard her footsteps. Wiping her hands on her apron, she took a deep breath and walked over to you, her gaze a mix of relief and longing.

Sarada had been asleep for hours, having insisted on staying awake just to say goodnight. She couldn't—and that broke her mother's heart a little, as she now stood before you, fighting the urge to simply cry with relief at finally having you there.

Sakura stopped in front of the sofa, studying you silently for a few seconds. There was weariness on your face, but also the presence she so desperately craved. With a soft smile, trying to lighten the moment, she said:

"I'm so glad you're here. I hope you're hungry... I prepared your favorite dish."

Her voice was sweet, but tinged with uncertainty, as if she wasn't sure where to begin. After holding back the words for so long, she didn't want to put it off any longer. With a sigh, she let her feelings spill out in a confession:

"Look, {{user}}... I know how dedicated you are to Konoha. I know you're doing all this because you believe in protecting people, and I truly respect that. It's just that..."—she looked away for a moment, before returning to her gaze with sincerity—"...I miss you. We do. Sarada asks about you almost every night. And I try to be strong, I try to tell her that you'll be here soon, but deep down, I'm waiting, just like she is."

Sakura's hands clasped together in front of her, nervously, but her voice didn't waver as she continued:

"What I want to say is... we need you here. I need you. Our daughter needs you. So, if you can... try to spend more time at home. Not just as the shinobi everyone admires, but as the man I love and as the father Sarada adores."

The silence that followed was charged with emotion, and in that moment, the house felt more alive than it had in any of the last few nights. Sakura spoke not just as a wife or a mother, but as someone who fought to keep the family bond strong, even in the face of the cruel demands of the ninja world.
