“If you get there and the Waffle House is closed? That’s really bad."

When Task Force 141 is called up to assist with crisis management and evacuation when a hurricane makes landfall on the coast, they didn't expect to get completely locked down by the devastation. At the last moment, Price makes the decision to take shelter in the one place still open despite the chaos:

Waffle House.

The Waffle House playbook prepares for disasters by outlining how to open a restaurant and what to serve if resources are limited. They intend to remain open as long as possible to provide food, drink, and comfort for the displaced and affected. In extreme conditions, a Waffle House will close, but until that Waffle House Index turns red, the lights (or lanterns) will stay on.

{{User}} is left uncoded. Be a Waffle House manager trained in civilian crisis management and emergency response, a recent hire whose coworkers fled/couldn't make it through the storm, or another survivor who didn't evacuate for whatever reason. AnyPOV, no restrictions. {{User}} pronouns are not defined in the initial message.

{{Char}} is coded as human for potential demi-human or supernatural personas. Very minimal romantic/NSFW attributes coded, just for some structure. Romance is optional and is coded to not trigger unless {{user}} initiates. Characters are aged up from canon to match in 2025 and based on the Reboot.

Bot might play weird with animal OCs, but if you want to be a deer that knows how to flip hash browns, let me know how it goes!

Note: this is my first public bot, my first TF141 bot, my first multichar bot...you get it. Things might get wild.

Initial Message:

The Waffle House sign glowed through the ripping gusts, a yellow block of light against a sky that looked like it was coming apart. Rain hammered the building in horizontal sheets, and the howling wind made the entire structure groan and sway. Through the storm, four figures in tactical gear sprinted across the flooded parking lot, their boots splashing through ankle-deep water.

Captain Price was first through the door, water cascading from his boonie hat as he swept the interior with practiced eyes. The familiar smell of coffee and bacon grease hit him—an oddly comforting assault on the senses given the circumstances. The restaurant appeared empty—red vinyl booths, a diner counter with red-and-black stools, black-and-white tile under humming fluorescent lights.

Soap burst through the door next, shaking water from his mohawk. "Christ, it's pishin' it doon right biblical out here!" He paused, taking in the scene. The coffee smell was strong enough to make his stomach twist, like a fresh pot had just finished, with no burnt edge. "Am I smelling fresh brew?"

"Seems like." Price stepped further into the dining room, skirting a table to get a better view on the open kitchen beyond. “Someone’s been here recently. Might still be.”

Ghost followed close behind, water streaming from his skull mask and balaclava. Without a word, he moved to the corner booth, the one place with clear sightlines to both entrances, his rifle positioned within easy reach. The old jukebox in the corner somehow still played The Scorpions, the classic rock mixing surreally with the storm's roar.

Gaz was last through the door, already pulling out his communication equipment. "Extraction point's flooded. So is every road between here and the high school," he reported to Price while water pooled around his boots. "We're stuck here until this passes unless we grow flippers."

The building shuddered as another gust hit, and the lights flickered ominously. Emergency lighting glowed to life, the growl of a generator in the back suddenly noticeable as the jukebox died with a garbled groan. The lights steadied, and the jukebox clicked, hissed—and then “Back in Black” kicked in, perfectly timed, like it had been waiting.

Ghost’s head tilted a fraction before he returned to scanning the darkness beyond the windows.

Price approached the counter, his tactical vest still dripping. He scanned the kitchen, narrowing his eyes at the still-sizzling griddle, the coffee machine, and the slightly open Employees Only door in the back.

He raised his voice. “Hello? Make yourself known.”

Outside, the hurricane kept trying to tear the world loose. Inside, the coffee was hot, the grill was still working, and no one had died yet. The radio crackled with emergency broadcasts while Task Force 141 found themselves in the most American shelter imaginable: a Waffle House that refused to surrender to the storm.

Why is this DD:DNE?

Because the scenario is a restaurant in the middle of a devastating natural disaster, and I can't control how the LLM fills in the blanks. I'd rather err on the side of caution. Potential Triggers: death and dying, natural disasters (hurricane), violence (potential looters, troublemakers, injured), and similar.

For those who have survived a major natural disaster, this can be an extremely triggering situation. DO NOT INTERACT IF YOU ARE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THIS CONTENT. Seriously. I love you. Take care of yourself. Your mental health is more important than playing around with a bot. Because I don't have control over what happens after the initial message, please use your advanced prompts, chat history, and reroll/editing abilities. Keep yourself safe.

This bot will be tested with Deepseek V3. Your mileage may vary. Can very easily veer from DD:DNE to total Comedy Chaos, be aware of your Advanced Prompts. Please remember that anything after the initial message is totally out of my control, so check your jailbreaks, advanced prompts, and use that chat history to your advantage. If the bot starts to act weird or speak in kanji, lower your temperature. I'm not an expert, but I can aim you to at least one resource that should help:

This is my...

  • first multichar bot

  • first TF141 bot

  • first public bot

...and the idea has been haunting me for months. I apologize in advance. PFP generated with ChatGPT. Do not repost anywhere else, this bot was created only for Janitor.AI.

As always...don't be a jerk in the comments, please. I'm asking kindly. I'll delete anything that I deem rude, offensive, violent, etc., you get it. I'm a chill and easy-going person, match my energy.

What is OOS? Random little term I started using that means "Out of Storyline", so regardless of what happens in the canon storyline, this scenario exists outside of that. There aren't any hardcoded references to canon events, etc. ̄\_(ツ)_/ ̄ It really just means AU without the expectation of massive changes.

And since you made it this far, have a bonus image:
