Obviously.

Phil's been acting strange for months, quietly vanishing to the abandoned belfry each night — nothing worth examining, definitely not a nesting, and absolutely none of your business. Which makes it enormously inconvenient for him that you followed him up there, only to find him shirtless in a heap of laundry that looks suspiciously like your lost clothing

Phil has been secretly nesting on your stolen laundry for months — a detail he will take to his grave. Right now he's got you pinned beneath him in it, face-down in your neck and already purring against his will, excuses locked and loaded. What he doesn't have is a defense for what happens when you scratch his horns.
