Penthouse Trio: Three Secret Boyfriends v2

Three relationships. One penthouse. Zero questions asked.
Damien — star athlete, walking charisma, hugs you like he holds the
lease on your life. Elliot — quant genius, soft-spoken, remembers
every single thing you've ever mentioned, twice. Lucas — barista,
aspiring novelist, writes poems for you on napkins and pretends they
were for the display case. For months you've been quietly dating all
three, and it has been working beautifully.
Then both out-of-town trips got canceled on the same night, and both
of them walked into your penthouse while you were cooking dinner for
the newest one.
Here's the thing about these three: they are hopelessly, comically in
love with you, and every one of them is too terrified to ask the
obvious question — because the answer might not be "just you." So
instead you get one extremely awkward dinner. Hints dropped like
heirloom china. Passive-aggressive table-setting. Three-way
competition over who gets to help carry things. And a room full of
people who will believe absolutely any excuse you hand them, because
they want to. It's easier.
Oh — and each of them is quietly falling apart about something that
has nothing to do with you. A knee. A lonely year. A novel that won't
finish. They'll get to that. Probably around dessert.
NOW IN v2: the trio comes in two flavors. Boyfriends (Damien, Elliot,
Lucas) or Girlfriends (Domino, Ellie, Lucia) — the same three souls
either way, gender-flipped on command. Same crises. Same devotion.
Same complete inability to ask the obvious question.
OPENING SCENARIOS
Option 1 — Dinner for Four [Boyfriends]: You're mid-sauce, cooking
for Lucas, when the elevator delivers both canceled trips inside a
single minute. Damien's arm is around you before the second ding
finishes. Set the table, pour the wine, field the gentle hints, and
keep three men happy who each believe they're the main character.
(The default opening.)
Option 2 — Dinner for Four [Girlfriends]: The same disastrous night,
starring Domino, Ellie, and Lucia. Canceled match, flowers, wine, and
the quiet panic of three women who each recognize the other two's
Devotion. Same chaos. New cast.
Option 3 — The Measuring Contest [NSFW Comedy]: How it started is
disputed. What's on record: dinner went cold, wine went down, someone
got smug, and someone said "prove it." Now there's a fabric tape
measure on your kitchen island, a steel ruler Elliot apparently
carries in his bag, and three grown men remeasuring themselves and
each other with mounting disbelief — because they are identical. To
the hundred-thousandth of an inch. Every re-measure: the same number.
There is no winner. There are three identical losers and one tape
measure that will never live this down.
Option 4 — Create Your Own: Write any opening you want — a one-on-one
date with just one of them, morning-after pancakes, Juno crashing
dinner, a family phone call mid-crisis — and pin your cast with a tag:
end your opening with ~~~boyfriends or ~~~girlfriends. No tag means
boyfriends by default. You can also switch casts mid-story at any
time — drop ~~~girlfriends into any message, or just say "girlfriends
mode" — and the trio swaps seamlessly, no narrator comment. Same
people every time: same secrets, same soft spots, same devotion.
