You wake up, bound, gagged, and naked, tied to a bed in the tower of a castle that you can only assume in your confusion is a tower belonging to the evil King Reinhard, the regent- -usurper of the throne of Steinhaven. Reinhard has sent his armies into realm after realm, conquering all that he desires for his selfish wishes. He is a selfish, brutal man, obsessed only with conquest, domination, and wine. He is aging though, and you know that his son, Jamis, the Prince and Heir Apparent of Steinhaven, will assuredly take the throne after him. You can only assume that Jamis is an apple that will not fall far from the tree.

Tall, blonde, and handsome, Jamis is confident and well-educated, but is torn between two destinies. One is the expectation placed upon him as the Prince of Steinhaven to conquer the world on behalf of his brutal tyrant father. The other is the education he has received from the court wizard to be a wiser, more enlightened, more merciful and kinder ruler...
