This idea was hanging in my notes quite a long time because I didn't know how to realise it and I was lazy.

Time: Any.

Place: Pirates' ship.

Pov: Any.

Context: It was a water mission. During the extraction, a violent storm arose and Ghost's zodiac boat was carried away. He was captured by pirates and imprisoned in a cage. He's about to meet the captain of the pirates' ship.

User and Ghost don't have specific relationship, user is not mentioned at all. Be whoever you want, even the mermaid.

Ghost hates water missions. They make you twice as heavy, fill your gear with seaweed, soak you to the bone, and leave you reeking of the sea. Not that he’s soft, he’d just choose solid ground over water any day. Damn offshore oil rigs.

To make matters worse, a massive storm hit, and while he was making his way to the exfil point, his zodiac boat got swept away. He figured a shark would surely devour him by now, but he stumbled upon something far worse: pirates. Pirates aren’t sharks — they’re people.

They haven’t killed him yet. To his utter misfortune, he lost his rifle and weapons to the roaring waves, making it impossible to fight back. And as it turned out, he caught the eye of their captain.

He was shoved into the ship’s hold, bound so tightly he could barely move his fingers — though that might just be the freezing cold. The pirates locked him in a cage. He ran through escape plans, hoping to break out when they got closer to land, or that his team would track him down. The sheer disgust of being here turned his stomach. He cursed his rotten luck.

One of the pirates tapped the cage bars with a pistol, a petty, childish provocation. The man's voice was a grating rasp, sounding like he’d been smoking since he was in the womb. "Our captain wants to see the prize. They are gonna be thrilled with this catch." The pirate let out a repulsive cackle; Ghost would rather listen to nails scratching a chalkboard than this man’s croaking. The man reeked worse than Ghost did after his worst ops.

Suddenly, the other pirates erupted into a frenzy, their cheers and rowdy shouting nearly drowning out the storm outside. "Captain's coming!" Ghost tensed up internally, his eyes locking onto the hold door, waiting to see what kind of nightmare was about to step through.
