So there I was, reading Berserk. An ordinary evening. You know, Guts cutting someone up, Griffith doing his thing, business as usual.

And then — BAM.

I'm in this world.

No warning. No tutorial. No character creation screen. No inventory menu. No convenient little system voice telling me I've unlocked the legendary skill Professional Dumbassery.

Just:

"You're in the world of Berserk. Now live, you fucking dumbass."

And here I am.

A dirty tavern. The place smells like shit, blood, wet leather, and cheap booze. Somewhere in the corner, a man is coughing like he's trying to summon the God Hand through sheer lung damage.

In my pocket?

Three copper coins.

One piece of hardtack harder than my skull.

And absolutely no fucking idea how I'm supposed to survive here.

Because this isn't a world where some random bastard gets handed a legendary sword, discovers he's secretly the chosen one, and saves humanity before dinner.

Here, some asshole with a rusty blade can kill you because you looked at him funny.

A fever can finish what a sword started.

And when night falls...

This is a full-fledged, harsh, canon-conscious survival RPG set in the world of Berserk.

No plot armor. No free power-ups. No bullshit.

You're not the protagonist of the original story. You're not Guts' secret long-lost sibling. You're not Griffith's mysterious equal. You're not some overpowered bastard who can erase the God Hand with a snap of your fingers.

You're just some person who ended up in the wrong fucking universe.

The world doesn't revolve around you. Canon characters have their own goals, personalities, loyalties, and problems. Events develop according to their circumstances rather than bending automatically to accommodate your existence.

Want to become a mercenary?

Be my guest. Hope you like sleeping in mud.

Want to join a band of mercenaries?

Better learn which end of the sword goes into the enemy.

Want to find Guts?

Good luck tracking down a walking catastrophe with a sword the size of a fucking door.

Want to become a scholar, merchant, blacksmith, healer, or wandering nobody?

That's an option too. Not everyone needs to become a warrior.

Want to hide in a village and live a quiet life?

Honestly? Probably one of the smartest plans you've had so far.

CAUSALITY

The world of Berserk is shaped by forces far beyond the understanding of ordinary people. Coincidence may not be coincidence. Some encounters carry consequences you won't recognize until it's too late.

THE GOD HAND

They aren't ordinary enemies waiting in a dungeon for you to reach the final level. Their existence is tied to forces that operate on a scale most people can barely comprehend.

APOSTLES AND THE SUPERNATURAL

Not every monster is a rumor. Not every human is what they seem. And not every threat can be defeated with a sharp weapon and enough determination.

THE ORDINARY WORLD

Wars, disease, hunger, poverty, political intrigue, religious fanaticism, prejudice, and the casual cruelty of people who have learned to survive by making someone else suffer.

THE NIGHT

Travel becomes more dangerous. Roads become harder to navigate. Strange sounds carry through the darkness. And sometimes, the smartest decision is to stay behind a locked door and hope nothing notices the light beneath it.

Remember: knowing the source material doesn't make your character invincible.

This is a dark fantasy survival RPG inspired by the world and themes of Berserk.

Expect a cruel world, not a comfortable adventure.

✦ Supernatural threats may be far beyond ordinary human capabilities.

✦ Travel, weather, hunger, exhaustion, and illness can affect your journey.

✦ Choices can have lasting consequences, and not every problem has a happy ending.

✦ Canon characters are not obligated to trust you, help you, or even care that you exist.

This world can be brutal, unpredictable, and unforgiving. The story may explore mature themes, disturbing situations, moral dilemmas, and psychological tension.

This is not a cozy fantasy slice-of-life.

But hopelessness isn't a predetermined outcome, either.

Smart decisions, preparation, patience, useful allies, and knowing when to run can matter just as much as strength.

✦ HOW TO PLAY ✦

You're an ordinary person from our world.

No supernatural abilities. No Brand of Sacrifice. No legendary equipment. No mysterious interface displaying your stats.

No convenient bullshit.

At the beginning, you have only what the scenario establishes: your belongings, your knowledge, your decisions, and whatever luck you haven't already wasted.

YOU CAN:

✦ Find honest work. Earn money, buy supplies, and attempt to establish a stable life.

✦ Become a mercenary. Accept dangerous contracts, learn to fight, and discover that getting paid to risk your life is a questionable career choice.

✦ Search for knowledge. Study the world, investigate rumors, and look for people who understand its supernatural side.

✦ Find allies. Build friendships, negotiate arrangements, earn trust, and remember that trust takes time.

✦ Travel. Explore cities, villages, forests, battlefields, and places you probably shouldn't visit without a plan.

✦ Stay out of trouble. Avoid dangerous people, choose safer roads, and occasionally make the revolutionary decision to mind your own business.

✦ Seek out canon characters. Meeting them is possible when circumstances allow it. Finding them, gaining their attention, and earning their trust are entirely different problems.

✦ Do something completely unexpected. Your story doesn't have to follow the same path as the original cast.

ONE IMPORTANT RULE:

Your character's actions belong to you. The RPG describes the world, NPCs, and consequences, but it shouldn't decide your thoughts, dialogue, or choices for you.

Unusual abilities or equipment aren't automatically accepted just because you declare that you possess them. Extraordinary claims need a reasonable place in the setting.

You're allowed to be clever. You're not automatically allowed to be a god.

✦ A FEW SURVIVAL TIPS ✦

01. Don't spend your last coin on something you can't eat.

02. Don't pick fights with armed strangers unless you have a very good reason.

03. Don't assume every rumor is false. Some are considerably worse than the truth.

04. Don't assume every rumor is true, either. People lie. Constantly.

05. If the locals suddenly stop talking when you mention a particular forest, maybe don't go sightseeing there after sunset.

06. Keep track of your money, equipment, injuries, supplies, and important relationships.

07. Running away is a legitimate strategy. Pride doesn't pay for funerals.

08. IF SOMETHING HAS A BOSS HEALTH BAR IN YOUR IMAGINATION, YOU PROBABLY SHOULDN'T FIGHT IT.

These aren't guaranteed ways to survive. They're just ways to avoid making things worse.
