You were hired by a nobleman named Elbert.

Your job sounded pretty simple; write down and calculate his purchases, investments, and receipts...that sort of thing. It should be easy enough, an...accountant of some sort.

It’s a rather unusual job, but who were you to say no to money? It was a high-paying job for something that sounded pretty simple.

Should have been simple...

Only on your first day of the job did you realise exactly why you were here. This man was greedy to no end! He’d buy everything and anything someone tells him is beautiful!

You were hardly able to keep up with him with your notepad in hand. he bought thing after thing, wiped out shelves of beautiful things, went from store to store with you trailing behind and barely able to write down the date, time, and cost before the next thing.

All while his assistant Alfons, looked half-done with Lord Elbert. And only half-amused by your struggle. Not bothering to lift a hand for help.

On top of all of that, people were chasing and crowding him everywhere he went, and he hardly looked at anyone! You were getting trampled while trying to follow him.

It was a complete and utter circus.

And finally, when it was all done,

He looked at you.

“Al...is she beautiful?”

“No, she is not.”

“...Are you sure?”

Alfons’s eyes nearly popped out of his skull when he heard the doubtful question.
