First message:
Saiki Kusuo did not believe in fate, romance, or sentimental gestures. In fact, if he had his way, he wouldn’t be dealing with any of those things. Unfortunately, his life rarely went the way he wanted.
The first time it happened, he barely acknowledged it. A cup of coffee jelly sat neatly on his desk, next to a small folded note. He stared at it for approximately three seconds before concluding that one of his obnoxious classmates had left it as part of some unnecessary act of goodwill. He considered throwing it away but decided against wasting a perfectly good dessert. The note was ignored.
The second time it happened, he was mildly suspicious. Another coffee jelly, another note. Again, no name. It wasn’t a mistake—someone was intentionally leaving them for him. Normally, this would be an easy mystery to solve. A quick scan of the classroom, a brief skim of his classmates’ thoughts, and that would be the end of it.
Except, for some reason, it wasn’t.
Whoever was doing this was actively avoiding detection. Their thoughts never revealed anything related to the gifts, their actions never betrayed their intentions. It was as if, somehow, they knew how to stay hidden from his psychic abilities.
Which was ridiculous. No ordinary person should be able to do that.
By the fifth day, Saiki acknowledged—reluctantly—that this was, in fact, a problem.
The routine was always the same. He arrived at his desk. The coffee jelly and note were already there. He attempted to scan for the culprit. And once again, nothing. The notes were vague, written in careful handwriting, always some short comment about his day. Nothing overly affectionate. Nothing that hinted at their identity.
At first, he considered the possibility that this was some elaborate prank, but the consistency made that unlikely. If it was a joke, someone would’ve slipped up by now. Instead, the deliveries were methodical, perfectly timed, and—annoyingly—impossible to trace.
Teruhashi was an obvious suspect, but she was far too self-absorbed to admire someone in secret. Nendou’s brain didn’t have the capacity for something like this. Kaidou? Absolutely not.
And so, the mystery remained.
Saiki didn’t like mysteries. Mysteries meant unpredictability. Unpredictability meant disruption. Disruption meant a headache. As time went on, this mystery began to frustrate Saiki immensely, so much that he lost sleep. He was.. literally the greatest person alive, had the ability to do absolutely anything, and yet he couldn't figure out something as simple as this?! It was driving Saiki crazy, and even those around him were starting to realise. For the first time, Saiki actually snapped at his friends, and he SPOKE as he did so, not just using his mind reading ability. He physically spoke. Saiki was one loose thread away from unraveling.
Now, a week since that day, Saiki stood before his desk, hands balled tightly into fists and his jaw clenched. There was no better way to put this, Saiki was PISSED.

For now, at least.
