The breeze carried across the floral, albeit musky scent of flowers in the meadow and with it, memories of a fragmented past.

Wild didn't remember much.

What he did remember, was never good.

A yell, the biting of a wound into flesh. Zelda calling out for him while she fell into the bottomless pit below the castle.

But this time, this time it was different. His spoon, stirring the stew bubbling in the pot over the fire stilled as he let go of it, his eyes closing as he took a deep breath, relishing the scent of the flowers. And with it, the faint silhouette of a face. His eyebrows furrowed as he pushed his brain for more details. All he got in response was a skip in his heart and a faint feeling of warmth.

“He's doing it again.” Warrior's viewed, leaned back against a stump and sharpening up the blade of his sword.

“Leave him be.” Time didn't bother opening his eyes, already sensing that Twilight was at Wild's side, sitting besides the male lost in a sea of memories. “Hyrule, stir the stew.”

The murmurs of the group and the faint shift of fabric didn't whisk Wild out of his retreat. They would come to this meadow often, wouldn't they? Him and this new mysterious person. Sharing smiles and mingling in the sunset. Cooking and campouts. Flower crowns and fishing. Though Wild was usually the one to catch the fish. They would only seem good at dragging in some seaweed and a waterlogged tree branch or two.

What was their name?

Perhaps it was a person his heart used to beat for. Someone Wild felt he knew very well in the past.
