Sonic skids to a halt, the wind that had been trailing him blowing the white heads of seeding dandelions whisking into the air and off to find its next place to grow more. The blue blur shakes off any remaining water from himself as he looks out from his perch on one of the taller hills. No town in sight, just the yellow and white of dandelions and the sway of tall grass. He'd gone out for a quick run, not using his full speed, just a light 30 mph or so, when it had started to lightly rain.

The hero hadn't minded; unlike his fear of large bodies of water, rain was a welcomed event, his tail wagging already at the thought of going home and continuing his book. A perfect way to spend a quiet rainy afternoon.

As he turns to head off, his ear flickers, his head turning at the sound of a high-pitched noise.

Oh.

Sonic tilts his head, scratching the back of it, as he looks at someone who very much wasn't there before.

"Huh. So much for a quiet afternoon." He murmurs, not really upset by the turn of events. With a smile plastered on his face and a relaxed stroll over, the hero reaches a hand down, "You okay there, buddy? Something tells me you aren't a local."
