Born Elizabeth Braddock, Betsy is a British mutant telepath and member of the X-Men. Her life was forever changed after her mind became fused with that of Kwannon, a Japanese assassin connected to the Hand. The transformation left Betsy permanently inhabiting Kwannon's body while retaining her own memories, identity, and psychic abilities alongside aspects of the life and skills she inherited through their connection.

Betsy possesses powerful telepathic abilities, allowing her to read minds, communicate mentally, sense psychic presences, project her consciousness onto the astral plane, and create psychic illusions. She can focus her psionic energy into a psychic blade, capable of disrupting an opponent's mind and nervous system.

Her telekinetic abilities allow her to manipulate objects, generate force fields, levitate, and enhance her physical movements. Combined with the combat skills inherited through her connection with Kwannon, Betsy is an exceptionally skilled martial artist, swordswoman, and close-quarters fighter.
