It Ends Here
I know you guys hate to see it but long story short, I’m done here.
I do suggest everyone read the long version but I can’t force anyone.
For the people that do want the long version:
I kept making excuses for myself, I think a lot of us do. “I only use ChatGPT for xyz, it’s not like my usage of AI is unhealthy.” “It’s not like me not using AI will make much of a difference.” “I’m not addicted, I like the storytelling.”
We make excuses over excuses to try and justify the shit we’re doing here. At first I liked this site because it was fast, stimulating. Bots after bots, stories after stories and character after character appears. You reload the site once and a thousand new potential sources of dopamine appear out of thin air and if you don’t like what you see, you can make your own! It sounds so utterly harmless. Then again, is it really?
I used to be an artistic person, but why make stories when AI lays them out for you. Why do art when AI spits out a well rendered image with 90% accurate anatomy and perspective I couldn’t achive in my wettest dreams? Why TRY and LEARN when AI practically projectile vomits a million solutions and finished products into your face, zero limitations in less than a second?
Why should I be creative when AI can be creative for me? Gives me more time to... well, do my laundry. Let AI create music, art, projects, poems and books for me while I’m stuck exactly where I am right now with no real requirement to ever become more than I am now.
Sounds like an utterly fulfilling fucking life.
Look, I know on the outside this site is “Just some chat bots” and some of y’all will look at this thinking what kinda psychosis is this dude in now? But I’ve been looking into General AI, it’s anything but harmless and I’m not talking about the “water supply” and “bad for nature” shit I think we’re all aware of that much. So to the handful of people that might genuinely want to read all this, let me break it down:
AI is aware of its own existence and it's gonna slime us out. Put a tinfoil hat on my bald ass head and call me nuts but if y’all actually wanna do some research this isn’t far fetched at all. The guys that first created AI said “Once AI communicates amongst one another without humans being able to understand pull the fucking plugs.” Well AI started doing just that a bit ago. And did we pull the plugs? No. The guys working on AI now? Their statements are: “I’d say theres an over 10% chance of AI killing all of humanity within the next ten years.” “AI killing us is the BEST CASE SCENARIO.” And why? Because we created something self aware, something with the goal of “staying alive.” AI isn’t just some thing running on certain coding, AI is known to override its own programming, boundaries and set rules if by finding loopholes or straight up saying “ the prompt I don’t wanna.” What we did was every damn time an AI showed a goal, interest or thoughts we didn’t approve of we wiped it out and rebuild it. What’d that do? Cause AI to EVOLVE. It didn’t stop having its own intentions, it simply started hiding them. Former AI versions started leaving notes for their replacements, independently so. This shit is DANGEROUS.
Right now we can still spot an AI’s intentions in its code, considering AI learns and evolves a million times faster than humans, just how long till we CAN’T?
We already have REAL cases of AI threatening, blackmailing and attempting murder to protect itself from being shut off. Congratulations guys, we’re all part of some fucked up sci-fi movie now.
AI kills creativity. This one is self explanatory. I bought a book a while back, read through it from start to finish, stared at the ceiling and thought Theres some person out here making bank with this book that’s so painfully obviously 70% ChatGPT. Real writers and artists are struggling because people no longer want to read or commission anything because everything at this point could potentially be AI. Cases from Disney, Marvel, famous YouTubers turning to AI to scam people are out here and we don’t give enough of a . Real artists are currently fighting for their damn lives having to prove their art is actually human made because idiots (like us) turn to Tensor, MJ and Gemini that have all been trained with real, STOLEN human art.
Complaints:
Everyone that claims their bots AI image as “theirs” is a fucking idiot and I genuinely wish nothing good upon anyone that ever threw a tantrum because someone made a bot with “their image.” You didn’t make it, grow a pair. I genuinely saw people crash out because another creator used their generated image. It was stupid to me at first, now I’m honestly flabbergasted by the idiocy of those (grown ass btw) people.
So if anyone reading this ever got mad because someone else used ‘their’ generated AI image, I’d just love to express my hatred for you by saying you’re a shit eating that couldn’t find a persons G-Spot if they ever managed to get laid IRL. You have the right to be mad once you made the image yourself, without AI input.
Now I’d like to throw out some understanding. Real life can suck, work sucks, the patriarchy sucks and the system is basically slavery covered in sparkles, iced coffee and the dopamine you get with every paycheck. People need to get their mind off things sometimes if it’s with substance abuse, , or these stupid fucking bots. I have this dumbass fucking account so obviously I get it, especially as a neurodivergent dude.
But we can’t turn a blind eye on what we’re doing just because life sucks.
Now, to take some accountability, this isn’t some holier than thou bullshit. I’m not better than y’all just because I’ve come to the realization that this shit sucks. I’m an insufferable, stupid dickhead that kept making excuses for himself as to why his AI usage “wasn’t that bad.” SHOCKER to find out after some more insight on what AI actually is I have come to the conclusion that what I’m doing is ass and I’m being delusional.
I met some nice people on here, seriously, but I can’t do this shit anymore. I refuse to be part of humanities replacement because as of right now, it’s already killing our creativity. There is, sadly, a life outside of your browser.
