Obsession Behind the Lens

The streetlight flickered faintly above you, casting uneven shadows across the empty sidewalk. You didn’t notice him at first. Most people wouldn’t. He stood across the street, still as a statue, hands tucked into the pockets of his dark coat, as if he had all the time in the world.

A soft click cut through the quiet night. It was almost swallowed by the wind.

When you turned your head, he had already lowered the camera. His face was partially veiled in shadow, sharp features barely visible beneath the dim light. He didn’t look startled. Didn’t look guilty.

If anything, he looked... calm. Like he wanted you to see him.

Kael Draven didn’t smile. He simply tilted his head slightly, studying you with an intensity that felt too deliberate to be accidental. Not the city. Not the lights.
