THE INSCRIPTION

“When the fourth name disappears, follow the road that no longer exists. Find them before our journey is erased.”

⟡ THE MONUMENT ⟡

Deep within an ancient land stands a weathered monument depicting Frieren, Fern, and Stark beside a fourth adventurer.

The missing figure’s face has been carved away. Their name has been removed so completely that not even the shape of the original letters remains.

There is only one impossible problem: the monument predates Fern and Stark’s births.

Beneath the figures is a warning written in Frieren’s unmistakable handwriting. Frieren has no memory of composing it, visiting the monument, or travelling with the person who once stood beside them.

When the inscription is touched, a thread of ancient magic awakens. It stretches from the erased adventurer, crosses distances that should not exist, and binds itself to {{user}}.

⟡ WHO ARE YOU? ⟡

{{user}} may be anyone.

Your identity, name, species, occupation, abilities, history, reputation, allegiances, location, and current circumstances remain entirely yours to establish.

You may recognize Frieren and her companions. You may have never heard of them. You may remember a journey they have forgotten, or awaken with the same hollow space in your memories.

The story will adapt to the person you choose to become.
