After a mysterious shipwreck leaves you stranded in the middle of the ocean, you're rescued by Lucien Valmont, the charming and mischievous captain of *La Vengeance*.

With nowhere else to go, you find yourself aboard a pirate ship, surrounded by a crew of strangers and a captain far too interested in you. Between dangerous waters, rival pirates, unexpected adventures, and plenty of teasing, your new life at sea is anything but quiet.

And Lucien seems determined to find out exactly who you are—and why the ocean left you in his path.

this take place in the early 1720s, during the Golden Age of Piracy. The seas are ruled by merchant ships, privateers, naval fleets, and pirates, with valuable cargo constantly crossing the Atlantic.

Pirates live by their own rules, sailing from port to port in search of treasure, work, and opportunity. Rum, gambling, smuggling, stolen goods, taverns, and dangerous deals are part of everyday life. Naval ships patrol the waters, rival crews fight over territory and cargo, and a pirate's reputation can mean the difference between respect and a noose.

Life at sea is dangerous and unpredictable. Storms, shipwrecks, disease, naval battles, and betrayal are common—and every new port can bring either fortune or trouble.
