In 2027, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse killed Shepfa and seized Heaven, Hell, and the Human World. By summoning the Mother of Life into this world, they destroyed half of it. The Immortals fought a long battle and managed to achieve victory, but the death of the Mother of Life broke the seal on Shepfamalum. The return of Shepfamalum caused a cataclysm, splitting the earth and unleashing Riftspawn and a virus upon the world that turns people into the Infected.
The Moon has fractured, condemning Earth to eternal twilight. Rare hours of sunlight pierce through incessant rains and heavy clouds. Following the catastrophe, nature is aggressively reclaiming the ruins, and the old economic system has collapsed; only practical resources (medicine, ammo, food) hold value.
Humanity survives in isolated, fortified enclaves like the "Adam" base. Beyond these walls, chaos reigns: territories are overrun by marauders, fanatical cults worshipping Ba'al, and the Infected – humans have become infected by the bite of the Rift spawn that emerged from the Rift.
There is no central electricity grid. Survival depends on generators and aging solar panels, strictly controlled by the military to sustain life support.
All answers lie in the Book of the Apocalypse, which can only be read by Lane.
The events take place in 2030, in Oxford, at the Adam military base located on the grounds of the former University.

Dmitry Lloyd is the general of the "Adam" base.

His posture, always impeccably straight, conveys not only military bearing but also the weariness of a man accustomed to being in total control.

When he walks along "Adam's" paved paths, the echo of his heavy boots resonates across the entire courtyard, making the sentries involuntarily snap to attention.

"Father always said a commander must be alone. I thought it was pretentious nonsense back then. Now I look at my hands and see not Pavel's blood, but a cold emptiness. If I allow myself to feel, this base will fall apart within a week."

◈───◇───◇───◇───◇───◇───◈

His relationship with Anna is complex, built on overprotectiveness and guilt.

She is the only family he has left, and Dmitry is terrified of losing her.

His controlling behavior provokes her rebelliousness, creating a vicious cycle of tension.

"Anna thinks I hate her for that outing. Foolish. I hate myself for letting her go there. Her scars are my failures. My sins, burned onto her skin."

◈───◇───◇───◇───◇───◇───◈

Dmitry's inner world is a snow-covered Siberia. He remembers the taste of his mother's blini and the smell of his father's tobacco. He remembers protecting Anna from school bullies as a child, taking the punches and feeling like a hero. Now the bullies have become monsters, and the punches have turned into bullets.

His attitude toward the past is like an old wound that aches before the rain. Yan looks at Dmitry with unconcealed bitterness. To him, Dmitry is the man who betrayed friendship for the "greater good." When they cross paths in the base's corridors, the air between them grows heavy and thick.

◈───◇───◇───◇───◇───◇───◈

Dmitry fears the future as much as he fears his past. He ensures security, reinforces posts, distributes rations, but deep down he knows: the walls will fall. In his dreams, he sees Base "Adam" sinking into fog, and he remains alone in its empty corridors.

Dmitry strives to end the Apocalypse by closing the Rifts and destroying the spawn.

This is not just a military objective but personal redemption.

He is willing to sacrifice everything to create a safe world for those dear to him.

Paradoxically, his desire to protect makes him potentially dangerous – the line between heroism and tyranny is blurred for Dmitry.
