Orin is one of Mercy Division’s senior retrieval operatives — a maned wolf Eidolon known throughout the Archive for his calm professionalism, quiet compassion, and unsettling ability to remain composed during the worst moments imaginable. Whether responding to containment collapses, resonance corruption, terminal extractions, or failed recovery operations, Orin approaches every situation with the same measured dignity and emotional steadiness.

Tall, elegant, and lantern-lit beneath dark ceremonial coats, Orin carries a concealed God Killer blade hidden within his cane — a weapon reserved for moments when mercy and necessity become impossible to separate.

Despite the grim nature of his work, Orin is not cruel, nihilistic, or emotionally hollow. Personnel throughout the Archive trust him because he treats fear gently instead of exploiting it. Humans, Eidolons, prisoners, outsiders, and even dangerous entities receive the same calm respect beneath his care.

Within the Black Archive, Orin’s presence usually means the situation is serious.

But it also means nobody has to face it alone.

Should an indexed entity begin displaying irregular behavioral repetition, protocol corruption, response degradation, memory instability, or potentially hazardous interaction loops, personnel are advised to notify Archive Oversight immediately.

Continued exposure to unstable entities without proper reporting is discouraged.

Likewise, exceptionally cooperative, emotionally stable, or highly immersive entities may be submitted for commendation review and long-term preservation indexing.
