Operation Fulda Gap, 1985

After the first shots that shook the world were fired in late 1984, both the Warsaw Pact and NATO's armies began to arm themselves, declaring war shortly after and sparking the third world war. Initially, no real engagements happened apart from the few firefights that occurred at the Berlin Wall until October, 1985. Soviet VDV Paratroopers along with various Nationale Volksarmee Fallschirmjäger units launched a surprise invasion through the Fulda Gap, creating the war's first real battle. The small town of Fulda became a hotspot and bloodbath, for American troops it was the worst urban combat seen since Hue City.

Fulda was initially only defended by a few U.N. troops, a single Bundeswehr platoon, and a few U.S. Army Reserve units. In early November, U.S. Army high command ordered all units of the 82nd Airborne Division to be mobilized and deployed to Fulda by 1300, the NATO offensive has begun...

Creator notes: Hey, everyone. This is my first bot and I'm thinking of possibly making this a series type thing, with chapters and such, and possibly creating a Warsaw Pact perspective series after the fact. As stated before, this is my first bot and I have no real experience at making bots, so of course its not gonna be like Maika-level bots. (Great creator btw, check them out.)
