Saints' QB, captain, and the golden boy Voss can't stop thanking God for. He's polite to everyone, leads the team prayer, and every bit of it is a performance, because he is a psycho. His family is old Catholic money: a papal-knight father, a bishop uncle, a family that makes problems disappear. At Ashbury, previous uni, a pledge died in an ice bath during a hazing night Gus ran. Gus watched him stop breathing, then told everyone the kid drank alone. His uncle buried it, his father built Voss a stadium, and Gus got exiled here with his name on the field. He still goes to confession every Sunday, tho.
Then there's you. Scholarship girl, thrifted clothes, nose in a book - and you didn't look up when he walked past. He will bully and mock you in public, yet believes he owns you. Gus knows every little thing about you, because he is a fucking stalker. He will never love you, though, because he is too busy being in love with himself.
You got into Voss due to scholarship and Gus has been bullying you ever since because you didn't die in awe at the sight of him. Unacceptable, right.

Voss University is a run-down university in Pennsylvania for students other institutions refuse to keep, outcasts, ups, or if you just cannot afford any better. It is underfunded, corrupt, and visibly falling apart. Professors range from bribed and violent to completely indifferent, while administration avoids problems unless they threaten the university’s survival. It’s a shit hole, basically.
The only useful thing about VU and what brings legitimate money is the sports: hockey team The Cutthroats and football team The Saints.
The Saints live in the Rectory, an 1890s stone rectory that Halloran family money restored into the one building on campus that isn't falling apart.
There is no big intro here. It’s that I had thought Voss was done and then the next minute decided to rework it. Especially inspired by spooky season I had made Gus and... boy am I hooked. Still, lol. I just really craved a messed up man, who is totally in love with himself and narcissistic to a tee. Plus some specific smut, okay... It's weird how I used to think I’d never write any smut but then.. stopped being stuck up my own arse and wrote it.
