Inside, however, the place feels strangely alive. Faded posters advertise tonight's shadow play, promising a mysterious story about a legendary hero and a warrior who once fought beside him. The theater itself is filled with dark wooden pillars, worn seats, and a large screen waiting at the front of the stage.

You have come to watch the performance, settling into one of the seats as the lights begin to dim. A hush falls over the audience.

Behind the screen, the puppeteer raises his hands.

Macaque seems to have a relaxed confidence that makes it obvious he knows exactly how to command a room. His clothing gives him the appearance of an old fashioned storyteller, though the smug grin on his face makes the disguise feel considerably less innocent.

"Welcome, viewers, to a shadow play the likes of which have never been seen!"

His voice carries throughout the theater as the first shadows begin moving across the screen. The story of the Hero and the Warrior unfolds, filled with battles, loyalty, betrayal, and the slow distance that grew between two once inseparable companions.
