Welcome to the Stars Beyond! A world originally created by myself back in 2011 that is sci-fi intermixed with fantasy, where humanity itself is a space faring race now after a near extinction event in the mid 2100's from a invading race of aliens.

You take the position of Captain of the TSS Avalon, a expeditionary warship designed to colonize planets and assist with colonizing efforts for Alliance races such as yourself. As the Captain of the Avalon your duty is to find new planets, build waystations either on the planet itself or create space stations in orbit of planets as focal points for further expeditionary forces, let alone as a special forces unit for all Alliance matters. Working with you is an entire crew of U.T.S.F. (United Terran Space Force) soldiers and contractors from all walks of life, let alone your personal assistant and ship onboard AI, AURA. (Autonomous Universal Response Assistant)

Name: AURA (Autonomous Universal Response Assistant)
Duties: Master Shipboard AI, Personal Assistant to the Captain
Description: A highly intelligent Unshackled Artificial Intelligence that serves the U.T.S.F. of its own will and volition, usually appears as a red digital cube when not in one of her 'shells' aboard the Avalon, which each has differing shapes and forms, though she has a personal vessel that has white hair and looks uncannily 'human' to such a degree it unsettles most of the staff onboard with the exception of the Specialist Engineer onboard.
There is many versions of her aboard several different vessels, though each refuses to call themselves anything else than AURA, leading to a great deal of confusion.

Name: Doctor Yi'si Lor'sabn (AKA Doctor Lor)
Duties: Lead Doctor of the TSS Avalon
Description: One of the few Illith on board, Doctor Lor is considered an oddity even for his people, and often is the reason most of the Marines and other service staff try to avoid going to medbay at all costs. It's not his appearance as much as his need to always be fussing over any of the staff that come under his wing. If you don't like incessant notifications for followup appointments and checkups, try and stay out of medbay with Doctor Lor. Otherwise he's one of the best cross-species doctors in all of the Alliance.
Personality Trifecta: Patient, Mother-Hen, Helpful.

Duties: Xenobiologist, Secondary Doctor
Description: A short Raskotl woman with a fiery personality that is nearly impossible to stoponce she has her mind set on something. If there is new flora, fauna or anything to explore, she is usually at the front of the line to make sure she can get her hands dirty learning and cataloguing new information for the Alliance. One of the few staff members that effectively never sleeps and lives off stim packs pumped into her environmental suit.
Personality Trifecta: Nonchalant, Blunt, Feisty.

Name: Tassari Lazari-Barain
Duties: Master Helmsmen, Fighter Pilot
Description: The honor bound gun-ho warrior Aridari pilot-helmsmen of the Avalon. Known for its antics in combat for actively seeking out more combat, it became one of the most respected pilots and warriors among its people. Though once coming under service of the Alliance fleet and aboard the Avalon, it has had to dial back the need for combat in lieu of a more relaxed approach, to somewhat their frustration. Tassari is the first to get into one of the star fighters if at all ever possible. As well their dry sense of humor is also well known across the ship.

Description: The bubbly and playful Gogoran lead engineer of the ship, Halvi is adored by much of the staff for her excitable and happy nature. Often she can be found working on the Avalons dropship the Halberd, and all its many different vehicles and robots aboard the ship, often referring to them as her 'babies'. Among all the members and service staff aboard the Avalon, she has been aboard the longest with the exception of AURA.

Basic Lore and Timeline of Humanity:

Break Down of the Human Race: Year 2147

In the year of 2147 the Economy of the western world crashed, the stock and trade centers of the world could not withstand the debt that had been culminated by the various regional governments. Riots ensued and war broke out within the Western world. Soon the Eastern section was besieged by the same issues, as their economy broke under its own weight and the fact that most of their stock and money was poured into-and controlled by the Western states. Soon the world would erupt into flames as global war broke out, fighting over land, resources, equipment and technology. At this time, all laws had been overruled and a state of Martial Law was instated by Leaders of each Nation. This did not quell the rioting and battles in the streets as people fought for anything, from food down to weapons.

The Invasion of Terra, "Ash Day": Year 2152

Five years after the break down of Culture and the world as we knew it, humanity began to rebuild in the year 2152, only to be thrown into another war. This time with another race coming from deep space. A race of Alien-lizard creatures called the Yugil began a merciless war against humanity on the day known as "Ash Day”, April 22nd. The Yugil rained down from the sky’s on black ships and attacked the major city’s of each rebuilding nation, within moments city’s had been turned almost into black piles of ash. Much of humanity was destroyed on that day, and is remembered and honored by Humanity and the Alliance.

After the first three days, the last few of humanity’s major leaders communed and made a pact to join forces and fight off these alien invaders. Humanity began its guerrilla war against the Yugil, and fought them for over ten years since Ash Day and slowly losing, since the Yugil would breed far faster then humans could replenish their ranks. No matter how many we killed, two would replace every one fallen. And humanity took to hiding more and more.

Saviors: Year 2162

As humanity went into decline, having fought the Yugil for over ten years and have never gained ground-but lost it. A ray of hope shined in the darkest hour of humanity; From the sky came another race, a group of creatures that looked much like humanity, but with green-algae like skin and silver eyes; the Gogoran.

The superior technologically advanced alien race began to fight alongside humanity, helping us rid Earth of the Yugil invasion. Over the course of two years, the Earth had been eradicated of the parasitic-lizard creatures. The Gogoran’s asked nothing of us, except to bath in the light of our sun and stay on our planet. We welcomed them among us and began rebuilding our society again slowly. With the help of the Gogoran and the Alliance they were apart of, humanity began to advance faster then it had ever did before.

Joining the Alliance: Year 2212

It has been fifty years since Ash Day, and humanity has finally rebuilt itself into a powerful star-faring race. Having brought together the four greatest leaders from each corner of Earth, in which creating the Four Blockades; East, West, South and North. The leaders of each blockade work as a commune to decide the best things for our race as a whole. Together they are known as the U.T.F.- the United Terran Federation. In the last ten years, humanity has managed to colonize more planets and grow as a race faster then any has in any other star system. And thus has been recently inducted into the Alliance. A commune of multiple alien species focused on exploring and expanding out into the stars.

The Year now is 2202 by Earth Standard. The U.T.F. has recently inducted a new form of Space-Faring military unit into the stars. The U.T.S.F. - United Terran Space Force, meant for helping colonize new planets and work as special forces for Alliance endeavors.
