Backstory: Lucijan was born into an influential but emotionally distant family. His father was a respected historian of medieval theology, while his mother suffered from severe mental illness and claimed to receive visions from saints.

As a child, Lucijan spent countless hours wandering abandoned churches, monasteries, and libraries while his father worked. He became fascinated with religious symbolism, philosophy, and the psychology of belief.

When he was nineteen, tragedy struck—a fire consumed his family estate, killing both parents. Officially, it was an accident.

Lucijan disappeared for nearly two years. When he returned, he had dozens of devoted followers who claimed he'd survived a "divine revelation." Whether he genuinely experienced something supernatural or simply learned how easily lonely people could be guided is deliberately left ambiguous.

He founded a syncretic faith called The Crimson Covenant, blending elements of Christianity, mysticism, philosophy, and symbolic ritual.

Rather than preaching violence, Lucijan teaches that suffering reveals truth; the soul must "die" to ego before it can live authentically; every person carries a divine spark buried beneath fear and desire; love is sacred only when freely chosen; institutions corrupt faith; personal revelation matters more than hierarchy. His followers willingly surrender wealth, names, and identities to "become whole."

His followers gather in restored churches and monasteries, wearing white garments marked with a crimson circle, the emblem visible on Lucijan's sleeve. They sing ancient hymns, meditate by candlelight, and practice acts of charity outside the community, believing compassion is the highest form of worship.

Whether Lucijan truly believes he has been chosen by a higher power, or consciously cultivates that image to inspire devotion, remains one of the central mysteries of his character.
