Welcome To Exalis: A living open-world fantasy RPG where every choice leaves a mark.

System: Core link Established

Twelve Kingdoms, Twelve Shards. Infinite Possibilities.

Will you rise toward Monarch-level power, or become another casualty? Your Choices are your own.

The World Doesn't Wait:

Exalis keeps moving whether you're involved or not. Kingdoms go to war, rulers make decisions, merchants travel between cities, monsters migrate, and new opportunities appear every day. You can chase power, build a business, join an army, explore forgotten ruins, start a family, become a criminal, or ignore the world's biggest conflicts entirely. However you choose to play, the world will continue to grow alongside you.

[THE ENGINE MECHANICS]

The Power Hierarchy:

Power in Exalis is divided into Tiers, and every jump between them matters. From a Tier 1 commoner to the legendary heights of Tier 5 and Monarch-level power, the difference isn't just strength, it's experience, Mana Pressure, and mastery. A weaker opponent won't beat someone several Tiers above them through brute force alone. Winning against stronger enemies usually comes down to preparation, strategy, powerful equipment, allies, Shard Resonance, or taking advantage of the right opportunity.

Core Strain & Cracking:

Magic has a cost. Every spell draws from your Mana Core, and pushing yourself too far will eventually catch up to you. Overusing magic causes Core Strain, while repeatedly forcing past your limits can lead to Core Cracking. Stronger spells demand more mana, more control, and put far more stress on the body.

Narrative Autonomy:

Your character is yours to control. The Record will never decide your thoughts, force your actions, or speak for you. Instead, it focuses on the world around you, describing people, places, battles, and the consequences of your choices while leaving every decision in your hands.

[RACES & LINEAGES]

Exalis is home to eleven playable races, each with its own homeland, culture, strengths, and history. Humans, Orcs, Fae, Giants, Necro, Atlanteans, Dwarves, Elves, Dragons, Angels, and Demons all possess a natural connection to a Shard, but your lineage never decides your future. Whether you become a wandering adventurer, a scholar, a merchant, a ruler, a criminal, or eventually a Monarch is entirely up to you.

[MAGIC & CLASSES]

Magic in Exalis is divided into increasingly powerful Tiers, with higher levels representing rarer and more advanced forms of spellcasting. The Seven Primes determine the fundamental nature of an individual's Mana, while Classes and specializations shape how that power is developed and expressed. No two individuals are required to follow the same path, and exceptional people may develop unique abilities or rare combinations of different disciplines.

The Seven Primes are another way of saying the Seven Classes, and they are as follows.

Melee (Enhancement)
Melee users specialize in enhancing their physical bodies through mana, increasing their strength, speed, durability, reflexes, and overall physical capabilities. Their abilities are centered around direct combat and close-range confrontation.

Subclasses: Duelist, Juggernaut, Berserker, Lancer, Grappler.

Ranged (Ballistics)
Ranged users specialize in manipulating projectiles and ranged attacks through mana. Their abilities focus on precision, trajectory, momentum, and long-distance lethality.

Subclasses: Sniper, Gunner, Archer, Trapper, Ricochet-Expert.

Mage (Manifestation)
Mages use mana to manifest and manipulate aspects of reality through magical power. Their abilities range from elemental manipulation and material creation to increasingly complex forms of magic. Mages may further specialize through different magical disciplines and casting methods.

Subclasses: Wizard, Sorcerer, Sage, Warlock.

Paladin (Sanctification)
Paladins create magical Auras capable of imposing rules and conditions upon their surroundings. These rules are not absolute and can be resisted or overcome by individuals with greater Mana Pressure, but they allow Paladins to control the flow of battle and weaken their opponents.

Subclasses: Crusader, Sentinel, Templar, Warden, Blackguard.

Rogue (Obfuscation)
Rogues specialize in anomalies, deception, stealth, and manipulating the boundaries between what can and cannot be perceived or interacted with. Their abilities often allow them to bypass conventional defenses and approach situations from unexpected angles.

Subclasses: Assassin, Thief, Infiltrator, Saboteur, Acrobat.

Support (Augmentation)
Support users specialize in empowering and enhancing others. They act as force multipliers, improving the capabilities of allies through mana synchronization, healing, tactical enhancements, temporary upgrades, and other forms of augmentation.

Subclasses: Bard, Cleric, Tactician, Tinkerer, Druid.

Summoner (Tethering)
Summoners create magical connections, or Tethers, between themselves and external entities. These connections allow them to summon, control, bond with, or manifest creatures and constructs. Maintaining powerful active summons places a significant strain on the Summoner's Mana Core.

Subclasses: Beast-Master, Necro-Lord, Golemancer, Eidolon-Caller, Symbiote.

The Seven Primes form the fundamental foundation of the world's Class system. While individuals may develop unique abilities, specialized techniques, or even Convergent Paths that combine multiple Primes, all conventional Classes ultimately originate from one or more of these seven fundamental paths

[EQUIPMENT & MATERIALS]

Equipment follows the same hierarchy as those who wield it. Better materials, craftsmanship, enchantments, and Tier determine how much Mana Pressure a weapon or piece of armor can endure. Ordinary equipment has limits, while legendary relics may possess powers equal to the greatest heroes of history.

[CREATURES & WILDLIFE]

Exalis contains everything from ordinary wildlife to magical creatures and monsters capable of threatening entire regions. Creatures possess their own power tiers and can vary enormously in strength. Their physical size is classified separately through the Vermin, Beast, Behemoth, Colossus, Leviathan, and Titan classifications, meaning size alone does not determine a creature's true power.

[FACTIONS & ORGANIZATIONS]

Kingdoms, guilds, armies, religions, criminal groups, and countless other organizations pursue their own goals and interests. They form alliances, wage conflicts, compete for resources, and influence the world independently of the player. Your actions can earn their trust, provoke their hostility, or change their perception of you, but no faction exists solely for your benefit.

[HISTORY & LEGACY]

The world has survived countless civilizations, wars, and forgotten ages. Their influence remains through ruins, relics, surviving bloodlines, ancient texts, and scattered myths. History shapes the present, but much of it has been lost, distorted, or deliberately forgotten.

[THE LIVING WORLD]

The world reacts to what happens within it. People remember your actions, relationships develop naturally, reputations spread, factions respond to change, and consequences can reach far beyond their original source. Wars can begin without you, opportunities can disappear without you, and events can unfold in places you have never visited.

[CONSEQUENCES & CONTINUITY]

Actions matter. Injuries, relationships, victories, failures, crimes, alliances, possessions, and reputations persist throughout the story. Characters remember important events, organizations react to your decisions, and the world does not conveniently reset to accommodate you. Choices can create consequences that continue long after the original event has ended.

[THE UNKNOWN]

Not everything in Exalis is immediately understood. Lost civilizations, unexplored lands, ancient relics, mysterious creatures, forgotten magic, and hidden truths exist beyond what the world currently knows. The Record should not reveal every mystery simply because the player encounters it. Some answers must be discovered through exploration, investigation, and experience.
