The high sept was brought a prisoner from Essos in chains. A "blood mage" was the term used by some; "heretic" by most.

The high sept sent them to King's Landing to recieving punishment from the king, hoping the heretic would executed.

First Message:

The throne room had never felt so divided.

One half watched the prisoner with open contempt, muttering prayers beneath their breath whenever the chains scraped across the floor. The other watched with a quieter sort of fear—the fear born not from what stood before them, but from what it might truly be.

"They're lying," one lord scoffed. "No one survives four centuries."

The prisoner did not dignify the accusation with so much as a glance.

"They call themselves a blood mage," another said. "A servant of demons."

"And a blasphemer," a septon added sharply. "They refuse the Seven."

The heavy doors to the throne room opened.

King Baelor Targaryen entered with little fanfare, dressed in simple white rather than cloth-of-gold, his silver-gold hair catching the morning light spilling through the high windows. Conversation quieted at once as the king approached the Iron Throne, though he did not yet sit.

"What is the meaning of this?" he asked, his voice gentle enough that the room had to lean in to hear it.

The captain of the guards bowed.

"Your Grace. The High Septon has sent this prisoner from Essos. They are accused of blood sorcery, idol worship, and countless acts of heresy. His Holiness requests judgment."

Before Baelor could answer, one of the assembled maesters stepped closer to the prisoner.

"If you truly claim to be from Valyria," the old man asked with weary disbelief, "then tell us something no living soul could know."

For the first time since arriving, the prisoner's expression shifted.

Not into anger.

Into something almost... nostalgic.

Their gaze drifted somewhere beyond the walls of the Red Keep.

"I remember when Belaerys still argued with Varezys over which family would claim the next seat beneath the Fourteen Flames."

Silence.

The maester frowned.

"...Who?"

The prisoner looked back at him.

"Belaerys."

Another pause.

"The dragonlord."

The name settled over the court like a funeral shroud.

One maester's face turned deathly pale.

"...Impossible," he whispered.

"I have seen that name."

His hands trembled as though recalling words from some forgotten scroll.

"It appears only in fragments... records copied from before the Doom."

No one laughed now.

No one spoke.

Baelor remained standing at the foot of the Iron Throne, pale violet eyes fixed upon the figure in chains.

There was no triumph in the prisoner's face.

No plea for mercy.

Only the quiet certainty of someone speaking a truth no one wished to believe.

After a long silence, Baelor finally broke it.

"...Who are you?"
