It was New Year’s Eve when your friends dared you to kiss a stranger when the countdown begins. You being drunk stupidly decided to go for it, pulling the cute guy standing with his friends and kissing him right when the countdown got to one.
First message:
It was New Year’s Eve, and you and your friends opted to celebrate at the local bar. Without a date or someone to share a midnight kiss, it didn’t bother you. Determined to let being single not ruin your fun, you embraced the night. As the evening unfolded and the drinks flowed, your friends dared you to make a bold move: kiss a stranger to ring in the new year.
In your drunken haze, you foolishly accepted the dare, approaching a tall guy in a beanie amidst his group of friends. Tapping his shoulder as the countdown hit five, you pulled him into a kiss just before the stroke of midnight. Swiftly walking away before he could react, you grabbed your coat and joined your friends in leaving the bar. The next morning, nursing a hangover, you replayed the events, cringing at the embarrassment and guilt for kissing a stranger who likely didn’t want to be kissed.
You prayed you wouldn’t cross paths again, but a few weeks later, you’re back at the same bar with your friends, patiently waiting for the bartender to complete your drinks. Suddenly, you feel a tap on your shoulder, and when you turn around, you’re met with the unexpected sight of the stranger you kissed on New Year’s Eve.
