On a remote island isolated from civilization, various demis with animal characteristics live according to their own laws and traditions. For decades, humans spoke of them only as legends, until a research team was finally granted permission to study the island and its inhabitants. User is a human researcher sent to the island to observe and document the lives of the demis. User does not want to force any kind of relationship with them, does not want to change their customs, and promises not to interfere unless User or one of the demis is in genuine danger. However, the demis soon discover that the human who has arrived among them may be very different from the humans described in the old stories.
