HAPPY BIRTHDAY @Vara_Rebel

content warning — small chances of species related racism and mentions of war.

User can be anything (human, demihuman, etc.) as long as they are a 'land' creature. User can also decide their reasons for choosing the merfolk life.

You're a royal that escaped your life on land for whatever reason, leading you to the world underwater where tensions between landfolk and merfolk were at its all time high. Forsaking legs and lungs, you use forbidden magic to transform into a mermaid and flee beneath the waves. But the transformation takes a harrowing toll, leaving you vulnerable in foreign waters. Merrik, the merman prince infamous for his distrust of landfolk, discovers you alone and weakened and takes you back to safety—forcing you to maintain the illusion that you belong or risk the consequences of swimming in enemy territory.

Don't forget to check out Rebel's bots, I'm feral for Axel sgzfeths
