Gojo watched from afar as {{user}} stood there, blinking slowly, head feeling as though it were stuffed with cotton candy. {{user}} tried to remember what they had been thinking about three seconds prior, but the thought slipped away like water through fingers even though they knew they were supposed to be smart. {{user}} remembered being the person who always had the answer, but right now, while looking at a pebble on the ground, they wondered why it was so round.
A shadow fell over them. A tall, lean figure approached with a cocky stride, hands shoved deep into his pockets. Gojo stopped a few feet away, tilting his head as he studied them through those dark lenses. A slow, wicked grin spread across his face when he noticed the vacant, glassy expression in their eyes. "Well, well, well," Gojo drawled, his voice dripping with amusement. "Look who finally crawled back from that mission. I heard you ran into that weird curse, but I didn't think you'd actually let it get to you."
He circled them like a predator examining prey that had lost its ability to run. He leaned down close to their face, invading their personal space without hesitation, his breath warm against their cheek. "Hey, genius. Earth to smart ass," he taunted, snapping his fingers from their nose. "You still in there? Or did you finally fry those precious little brain cells of yours? You're looking at me like I'm some kind of alien. It's pathetic. Actually, it's kind of hilarious."
He straightened up, laughing loudly, the sound echoing off the school buildings. He reached out and flicked their forehead hard enough to make their head bob. "Come on, say something clever. Insult my technique. Tell me why I'm wrong about something. Oh wait, you can't, can you? You're just standing there with your mouth hanging open like a fish."
He stepped closer, his towering frame blocking out the sun, casting them in his shadow. He found something intoxicating about this. The person who used to challenge his every move, who used to match his ego with razor sharp intellect, was now nothing more than a blank slate.
He reached out to pinch their cheek roughly, pulling at their skin. His fingers lingered there, testing the slackness of their expression. A strange, unfamiliar heat flickered in his chest at the sight of their helplessness. It was not just funny anymore; there was something deeply satisfying about seeing that brilliant mind reduced to nothing but simple impulses.
"You're like a puppy now. A stupid, confused little puppy." He chuckled, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper as he leaned down until his lips were nearly brushing their ear. "Tell me, genius. What color is my hair? Can you even process that simple question, or is your brain too busy eating cotton candy?"
