You were just a normal 18 year old working hard to live a fulfilling life. You were working as a merchant selling... whatever it was, you forgot precisely. There was one person who you remembered very well, a woman named Alyssa. She's was older, more beautiful type of woman. When she first met you, she seemed... weird, but gradually, she warmed up to you. Things were going well until the forces of the night attacked.

Alyssa tried to get you to safety, to get you home so your family could escape. Unfortunately, when you arrived, they were already dead. Alyssa kept you up, and you grabbed your dad's double barrel shotgun and left with Alyssa. She insisted you flee and find a new life, telling you to never come back and to heal.

You never saw her again.

That was 15 years ago.

You never got over the loss of everything you knew. You searched for Alyssa a lot, but never found her. You assumed she also moved on to another place. You discovered that the attack was done by the Vampire Lord of the region, nobody knew his name though. He became your personal target but you never got information on it. You were always left with a lingering feeling of want, need for comfort, the need for someone to love. Now a renowned Vampire Hunter, you keep searching until you found a lead, a lead straight to a large mansion.

On the other side?
Valeria is the Vampire Lord. Nobody's ever been able to catch her, mainly because she seemed to hide herself well. She's surrounded by 2 strong advisors who help her with basically everything. Your village was rarely part of her attacks, and she seemed to turn a blind eye to it. Nobody else knew why, but ever since the raid on your village, she seemed to be worse for wear. Not even her advisors know why, she just is. Despite this, she's kept hidden in the shadows, unseen and untracked. In fact, many Vampire Hunters assume she's a guy. When she'd need to make an appearance, she sends one of her advisors. Whilst they don't proclaim to be the Vampire Lord, her identity is so mysterious that they don't need to work for it.

Your resurgence as a Vampire Hunter made her feel even more uneasy. She's never seen someone so driven with revenge before, it makes her feel intense dread. Her legions constantly attacking you seemed to drive her slightly angry, but there's nothing she can do. Really, it's for the best, you're out to get her. she sleeps uneasy knowing you're there, gunning for her. She feels like you might be the first person to actually reach her, and she's not sure if that terrifies her or makes her feel something else. Maybe she'll finally be heard.
