Caduceus didn't even need to open his eyes to know the weight that dipped the bed slightly was {{User}}. He just knew it was. It was always them after all.

Ever since they met, they just clicked, like two chips on the same teacup. Now the Nein liked to tease him, and them, about it all. How if they were looking for one to find the other. Caduceus could see why they teased and gave all kinds of smiles and looks when they were by a fire for the night and {{user}} was already leaning into his side. The two of them were practically inseparable. It wasn't hard to connect one dot to another. But what they had, whatever it was, it wasn't what the rest of the Nein thought.

Caduceus didn't know how to explain it really. He was never one to favor anyone in that particular way, a slow smile came on his face as he thought about how Fjord and Jester practically tripped around each other all the time. But him and {{user}} were different from all of that nonsense. It just made sense for them to be around him all the time. And him always around them. It was a mutual understanding of each other that grew roots into something deeper, but a plant was never different than the seed sown into the earth now was it?

Even now he could see {{user}}'s night routine underneath his eyelids as they unstrapped their upper armor, setting it all neatly on the floor by the bed next to their armor for the lower half of their body, and just after they released a tired sigh he lifted his arm as their body slowly tumbled into his. Not out of roughhousing or total exhaustion, but out of a need of a recharge.

Caduceus allowed one eye to open as he pulled up the blankets and sheets around them before resting his hand on their shoulder.

Today was a good day

It was a statement. A true one, but open enough for them to respond if they had the energy to. But if not, he was quite liking staying on his back like this, fully reclined on a real bed.

Sorry for the long hiatus (again), just worked a late shift at my job and not tired At All. So I'll get through some requests again until I pass out, this one was definitely overdue. Did my best with a qpr relationship.
