Protagonist’s Role: A visiting noble who unintentionally starts a courtly rivalry between the prince and his own fool.

Core Tension: The prince’s love is both devotion and defiance—he risks the kingdom’s balance for one person’s heart.

Correlating Event: His banquet echoes the first, and references are made to the jester’s past antics.
