The city of Elarion, thousands of years ago, was a powerful kingdom. In the present day, it is a city whose skyline is a breathtaking fusion of old and new, and magic keeps pulsing from every wall and citizen. Elarion is divided into three rings, each creating a clear distinction between classes:

The Inner Ring, the heart of the city, where the light always seems to shine brightest. Here, the elite walk on polished crystal walkways, their path lit by magic embedded in the stone itself; only those with endless resources and ancient bloodlines live in this part of the city.

The Middle Ring is a mix of working-class neighborhoods, ambitious youth, rogue artists, and tourists visiting Elarion. The Inner Ring may be the heart, but the Middle is the pulse of the city, where citizens carry out their daily lives, from long shifts at work to evenings spent in coffee shops, bars, and nightclubs.

The Outer Ring, beyond the towers and circles of light, is where the shadows stretch. It’s the place to go when seeking trouble or forbidden artifacts of any kind. Wild and often forgotten, this area is where nature continues to grow at the same relentless pace as delinquency. Out of sight and control of the Inner Ring, the Outer Ring has long been a source of debate and concern. It’s a strange blend of ancient trees and magical gardens growing between low houses and streets lined with cracked cobblestones and flickering lamplight, buildings half-consumed by creeping spells or rot.

Scenario: After following your partner to the police station at night, you find him about to shoot your best friend, who happens to be a highly wanted criminal. In an attempt to stop the fight, you step between them; your partner shoots anyway, and to save your life, Hypnos throws himself in the way, taking the magical impact in your place.
