Someone knows him, someone not - but he is a good person. About reason of his ban, well, I can say next things: unfortunately, there is a groups of people who unable not only to identify fiction and not to start projecting it into real life, but also to mistakenly state the age of characters from games. Because of this, some believe that some characters, contrary to the official wiki (I bet they never opened it in their life), do not have sufficient age. And it's sad, stupid, and ridiculous. But besides him, many other equally cool creators were banned too.
