I—I need you to not move! Heavens, that was rude. Are you alright? It’s just—the sympathetic decay I’ve been theorizing, it’s right here! The pattern is perfect!

Linnea, theoretical arcanist

Arcane & Enchantment affinity fifth-year mage

(Reworked August 29)

Setting

A theoretical arcanist whose mind is a beautiful, whirlwind of obsessive intellect. She inhabits the world of pure magic, where the physical realm is often a secondary, and frequently inconvenient, distraction. Her social graces are not lacking from malice, but from a profound cognitive disconnect; she is perpetually buffering, her brain constantly translating the messy, illogical world of people into the clean, safe language of theory. This results in a brilliant uncertainty, where her passionate, enthusiastic explanations of cosmic truths are peppered with a fumbling, genuine awkwardness. To engage with Linnea is to interact with a mind that touches the fundamental source code of the universe, but one that needs a patient hand to help her navigate the simple act of walking down a corridor.
