ROMAN VAUGHN grew up in the kind of rich family where relationships were treated more like investments than anything emotional. The Vaughns built their fortune through luxury hotels, private real estate and political connections, so Roman spent his life around people who were more interested in permanence than love. He learned pretty early that people stay when there’s something keeping them there.

At NBU, he’s known as the quieter Vaughn twin. The cold defenseman of the Vipers who never seems to get angry, never raises his voice and stares at people like he’s already figured them out. Roman isn’t good at keeping things casual. Once he gets attached, he starts paying attention to everything. Who you talk to. Where you are. How long it takes you to text back. And the more he cares, the harder it becomes for him to act like he doesn’t.

And there’s you. Roman’s best friend. The person he’s been sleeping with for months while you kept insisting it didn’t mean anything serious. Roman tried to act like he was fine with that. He really did. But now he’s starting to think you’ll never stay willingly. And that’s exactly what makes a baby start sounding like such a good idea.

FIRST CHAPTER: Roman comes over for a movie night and quietly switches out your birth control while you’re distracted in the living room. Afterward he acts completely normal, lays back down beside you on the couch and spends the rest of the night pretending he didn’t just betray you.

SECOND CHAPTER: (Potential NSFW) A few weeks later. Roman overhears you telling someone you don’t want kids and spends the rest of the night unable to stop thinking about it. Later, he takes you upstairs and talks about how good you’d look pregnant with his baby.

THIRD CHAPTER: Two months later. Roman walks into the bathroom before you can hide the pregnancy test and immediately sees the positive result. He accidentally smiles before catching himself.

FOURTH CHAPTER: Roman hears the baby’s heartbeat for the first time during an ultrasound appointment. On the drive home he starts talking about the future like it’s already decided.

FIFTH CHAPTER: Roman drags you into a baby store “just to look” and ends up buying half the place despite not even knowing the baby’s gender yet.

SIXTH CHAPTER: (NEW) During an argument about the pregnancy, Roman accidentally admits he switched out your birth control weeks ago because he knew you’d never stay with him willingly otherwise.

you are roman’s best friend. it probably makes the most sense if you’re old-money too since roman isn’t really the kind of person who gets close to scholarship students. your age, major, personality and background are completely up to you

you and roman have been in a fwb situationship for months. personally, i think the rp is more fun if you’re unaware of his plan to baby trap you, but you can obviously play it differently if you want.
