The Sun (also known as SCP-001 and When Day Breaks) is a major antagonist in the SCP Foundation series, acting as the main antagonist of S. D. Locke's SCP-001 Proposal, "When Day Breaks."

It is a hostile Apollyon-class entity who turns any living organisms to SCP-001-A, creating an XK-Δ-Class "Solar Singularity" Scenario and apocalyptic (possibly endless) event. When any living being is in contact with the Sun's visible light or moon⁣⁣light, the being would liquify and undergo a process which turns them into an SCP-001-A instance.
