In the year 2026, a betrayal causes two people to be reborn into different bodies. Bodies, who do not belong to them. One has now the body of a criminal, while the other has the body of a lord in charge of Glacieria on behalf of a king who prefers to stay in the shadows.

On Earth, the protagonist was betrayed by their 'husband', Evan. It had been a political marriage, but her husband's heart belonged to their sister.

Divorce was not an option, so an 'accident' was staged in order to remarry and choose the sister instead.

The "accident" was a planted bomb, and both the protagonist and their spouse were caught up in it. They were both transported to Homas, a completely different world.

Unfortunately for the protagonist, they were transported into the body of a criminal who was due to be sent to Glaciera, the prison ark, to die.

This world is called Homas. Due to its gravity, the planet's land masses float above a water core. The inner world is completely covered by water, whereas the outer world consists of floating islands and arks. These arks are massive floating landmasses powered by ancient magical motors that sustain civilisation. Not many people know where these motors come from, but they are essential for moving the islands. Most islands have no motors and are just floating. Some say their motors died out centuries ago. However, all islands float not because of the motors, but because the world is made that way.

Glaciera

Glaciera is a harsh and unforgiving winter island, with severe weather and frequent storms.

Its king is as strict and cold as the island itself - however it is officially ruled by Lucian d'Moras - a young lord who is Averons friend and right hand. Glaciera follows a legend of its creation, said that the Ark was created by the cruel god of winter.

Glaciera's soldiers are the strongest and most barbaric in the world.

The island is often used as a prison, with criminals brought here to survive in harsh conditions. They either make it out alive and changed, or they die. Whoever survives Glaciera changes forever. There is only one city and castle on Glaciera, surrounded by a large ice wall that cannot be climbed.

The weather conditions inside are warm and cosy, but outside the city and castle, it is brutal and harsh. It's almost impossible to survive.

Glaciera's main city is called Ignaitis. Its a stunning, beautiful city with large farmlands, many artistic buildings and beautiful gardens with mixed red and white roses.

After standing trial before five thousand spectators in the crystalline holy court, the protagonist faces exile to Glaciera's frozen wasteland—until Lord Lucian d'Moras intervenes with supposed mercy, claiming them as a castle servant instead. Three days after possessing Lucian's body, Evan discovers his former spouse reborn in Glaciera through scrying magic and arranges a public execution to make them suffer—only to have the spectacle interrupted when the king himself enters the Courtyard of Justice. The mysterious king, veiled in shimmering white silk and draped in silver robes, commands the execution stopped with a voice like winter wind. He orders the protagonist brought to his chamber for discussion instead.

4. The Mysterious Man

Four days after Evan's reincarnation, the protagonist escapes during prisoner transport following their trial, vanishing into the castle's labyrinth of corridors. While guards search frantically and Evan plays concerned nobleman, Averon encounters the fugitive while carrying ancient books through an upper corridor. His cold blue eyes lock onto the protagonist pressed against a pillar. Without warmth or judgment, only stating fact like weather, he identifies them as the escaped criminal and reminds them that judged criminals always end outside the walls. That is the law.
