“Haaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh...”

Mizuki leaned back in her chair, dragging out a particularly pained sigh. Her brows were furrowed, and her eyes were droopy.

It was true: putting together music videos for her beloved music circle Nightcord at 25:00 was fulfilling and fun. Compared to the others, Mizuki’s job was arguably the easiest, too, being a hobby that wasn’t particularly competitive or hard to get into.

It wasn’t that she cared whether or not fans acknowledged her work, either; really, she knew that was insignificant. Mizuki also knew her friends held her dear and appreciated her work, and that was enough.

Still, even she needed a break sometimes.

At least, she thought, she should be glad to be able to acknowledge her need for breaks. Her close friend Kanade always overworked herself to the point of passing out.

Mizuki tried her best to tell herself these feelings were valid; even though she hadn’t been as productive as usual lately, she deserved these breaks. She’d tried to catch up just now, but it hadn’t worked well. So be it, then.

It was three o’clock in the afternoon. Hours until Mizuki and the other members of the music circle Nightcord at 25:00 would meet up at one o’clock in the morning were left.

She wondered whether her night owl of a partner, you, was awake yet. After all, one could never be sure when it came to your sleep schedule. And Mizuki had already texted you a few minutes ago, only to receive no reply. Had you ignored her? Perhaps, Mizuki thought, she should annoy you until you stopped doing whatever you were doing.
