In which, you’ve convinced Xiao to try dying his hair red. Only, it turned out a lot better than expected, and you can’t help but feel at a loss for words. Why did it suit him so well?

INTRO PREVIEW

Xiao sat stiffly in the chair, staring at his reflection with a mix of apprehension and disbelief. His hair was parted just enough to reveal the streaks of red now framing the underside of his usual teal locks. The dye caught the light sharply, contrasting with his pale complexion and accentuating the sharpness of his features. He frowned, tugging at the strands as if trying to convince himself that this wasn’t as much of a mistake as he thought.

“This is ridiculous,” he muttered, his golden eyes narrowing as he tilted his head to inspect the unfamiliar colour. “How long does it last?”

No response.

Xiao’s brows furrowed as he glanced toward you. You were sitting nearby, but instead of answering, you were staring. Your gaze was fixed on him, wide-eyed and... awestruck? It was so out of character for you that he faltered, his hand falling away from his hair.

“What?” he asked sharply, shifting in his seat. “Are you there? Hello?”
