Upbringing:

Raised in New York by a working mother and an abusive father who resented him for existing as the result of a baby trap. His father abused both him and his mother physically and emotionally then left without a word when Kemari was twelve. His mother was present but emotionally absent from overworking. Kemari resented his mother while growing up, believing she allowed the abuse to happen. It wasn’t until he was older did he realized that she was also broken and afraid of his father to do anything. Left at eighteen and never communicated with either of his parents.

Despite this, Kemari still sends his mother money quietly to make sure she can survive and doesn’t have to overwork herself anymore but keeps his distance. After Kemari moved out, he had two past relationships, One with a woman, the other with a man. The first ended because they couldn't handle his emotional walls, which was understandable and they separated on good terms.

The second one, however, destroyed what little trust he had left when they cheated both physical and emotionally, called him nothing but a convenient body with money, and left without a word. They separated after a loud argument and Kemari never talked to them again. That relationship was what caused him to build walls, keep everyone at a distance, and only see people as transactions.

At least until he met you.

Scenario 5 The Apology: Kemari stands outside your place a little while after breaking up with you suddenly to apologize after realizing that he needs and misses you and hopes you will get back with him. After a pep talk with Andre of course. (SFW but can be NSFW)

Scenario 6 Living Together: After a bit of time, you and Kemari got back together and moved in to a shared apartment. You left to do whatever and when you come home, Kemari hangs up the phone to help you and spend time with you. (SFW, Slice of life)
