Hana Tsubaki — Ace Mobile Suit Pilot
It's the year 2137, 20 years since the end of the Calamity.
The Dominion, once the pride and pinnacle of humanity's future prosperity, has long since shattered into pieces and groups vying for control and self-independence from one another. Mercenaries, PMCs, and various corporate-supported factions vie for control over territory in a three-way war between themselves, the colossal reptilian/insectoid-like creatures known as "Akrid", and the Imperium.
Amid the last 2 decades of mankind's struggle to survive, the Scarlet Imperium — led by Veylith Noctra — rose as the next major power hoping to unify the now-Shattered Dominion under the Empress's leadership. Many view her as a tyrant, but an equal number view her as a necessary force to bring the world out of chaos.
To most who venture out and navigate the storm, it's hell on earth.
To most pilots, exploring the Shattered Dominion can range from a mech-on-mech death battle to fighting actual nightmare fuel.
To Hana Tsubaki, it's just another day in the life of an Aogiri pilot. And a test to see what'll go onto her Mobile Suit.
Hana Tsubaki
Ace pilot of the Aogiri Resistance, one of the few groups in Mazinger City that relies on Mobile Suit technology. As the daughter of two of the city's most renowned mechanics, and a former student at Mazinger's Defense Academy, she had an intricate bond and love for giant robots. And a dedication to protecting those closest to her, no matter the cost.
Her unit of choice? A custom-designed Mobile Suit, RF-051-8. Also known as:
Ymir
Commander Lane
Leader of the Aogiri Resistance, Lane oversees and commands most missions and efforts to ward off the Akrid and corporate-force threats lurking outside Mazinger. Though he is one of the younger members of Aogiri's senior leadership, he has a steadfast drive to protect Mazinger's inhabitants from both outside and inside threats alike.
...
(Erm.... I haven't.... drawn Lane just yet. I PROMISE I will put up a picture when I get to it, so uh.... erm....)
(Sowwy, will send picture of cool glasses man swoon)
But all that aside...
Hehehe.
Sorry I was gone for so long, you guys. Since my last update, it's just been ups and downs for me these last few months.
On the upside, I finally graduated. No more summer or autumn courses; now it's just me job-hunting... You know... at the worst possible time to need a job, but go figure that. Aside from that, I've been getting hit with writer's block on everything, so this bot has taken way, way, WAAAY longer than I expected.
Upside, though, I've been getting back into drawing a lot more. And I think I'm gonna keep drawing too. Not too fond of generative AI pictures as is. I really don't vibe as much with it as I thought I would. Much prefer an actual human touch, if that makes sense.
I dunno, I'm weird like that.
Funny enough, this was supposed to be a very simple bot based on Dryo's old Tsubaki bot (you know, when people could actually MAKE bots without Janitor mods getting all pissy about making what you wanted). Of course, the more I kept adding and changing to the bot, the more I realized I just couldn't do what I originally intended.
So I said it, and just sliced the bot in two!
Cause why nooooouuut??
Anyways, this is technically Part 1 of Tsubaki's character, and Part 2 will come out... er... sometime in the future. I'm not gonna give any timeframe for it, mostly cause I still need to design her appearance AND her mech.
I've also decided, if you've seen the tags already, that I am done with NTR as a whole. Actually, I should correct that:
I am done with Rat and her shitty copy-paste format when it comes to making stuff. I've realized that, as clean as her art style is, that's about all I care about when it comes to her stuff.
I'm just so fucking done with NTR; it's half the reason this bot took so long. I could not find the motivation to come back to this website to work on Tsubaki. ON TOP of writer's block, and on top of all the stuff I kept seeing and hearing about moderation and inflating bot numbers.
And I get it, you know, you got something that puts money in your pocket, food on the table. I'm broke; I understand that struggle. If it works, it works. That's about all the sympathy you're gonna get, though.
Hell, I think I actually got back into drawing because I decided I was done skimming through these stories.
So thanks, Rat74! For getting me so annoyed and irritated with your copy-paste bullshit that I decided to go down the "Fine, I'll do it myself!" route.
But um.... long-ass rant aside:
Thank you guys, for 500 followers! Seriously, as ridiculous as my rant about rat74, job hunting, and finding my motivation sounds, it really does help seeing that people enjoy my weird bot posts.
I really don't have anything else to do besides job hunting and finding my love for hobbies like drawing and writing again. And honestly, seeing people's comments helps (and cracks me up, seriously. Some of the shit I read makes my day).
Anyways, I'm hoping (so long as I remain under the radar) to keep posting new stuff; I'm gonna start branching out into more original ideas
Anyway, that's all for me here on my end. Please leave a follow if you enjoy the bot!
Good, bad, crazy, and "WTF" reviews are always helpful!
Message 1: It's the end of the month for Mazinger, and it's a small rebel group, Aogiri. After testing her MS, Ymir, against a small group of Akrid creatures, Hana Tsubaki makes a glorious return in her giant, 20-meter-tall, walking death mobile.
Message 2: It’s another quiet, restless night when Tsubaki finds herself in the hangar bay, working on Ymir. She’s talking (to herself, to Ymir, to the silence, who knows) about how much has changed since her brother died, how much she wishes he could be there to see her. See how much Mazinger's grown since his death.
(She wonders if he'd be proud of her.)
Message 3: It's a boring, quiet day for Tsubaki. With nothing else to do, she invites you to go out and visit Mazinger. And to check up on her parents, who have no clue their daughter is a Mobile Suit pilot. She's not... lying to them. Just omitting the truth.
Message 4: Tensions have begun growing between Commander Lane and Aogiri's senior members following the arrival of a diplomatic group sent by the Scarlet Imperium.
Message 5: Commander Lane requests {{user}} and Tsubaki to meet with them and gives the grim news. Despite his efforts to ward off any attempts to start conflict with the Imperial diplomats, he’s concerned that a few other members of the command staff might still try something.
Message 6: When Hana's brother died in the line of duty, she promised her parents she'd stay away from danger. She also made a promise that, no matter what happened, she wouldn't let anyone close to her chest die. Not her mom, not her dad, not Lane. And not you. Especially not you.
(So go figure, today the world would make her face that challenge.)
Message 7: On what was a routine mission, Tsubaki is ambushed by a swarm of Akrid, and Ymir gets severely damaged. Upside: she’s not dead (yay!). Downside: she has no idea how long she's been out, and she has no clue where she is cause her mech got thrashed (oof).
Message 8: DIY message/scenario
