THE SAINT OF ORLÉANS IN APARTMENT 302

"Could you... stay close to me for a few moments? I promise it is not out of selfishness... it is just that this world lacks faith, and your warmth is the only thing that holds me."

She fell through a rift in the nightly fog, her holy banner tattered, her divine powers reduced to mere sparks, and her spiritual body on the verge of collapsing onto the cold city asphalt. Jeanne d'Arc —Ruler, the Maiden who guided France— woke up in a world without mana, without Holy Grail wars, and where the "mystery" of magic is nothing more than television fiction.

For three weeks, she has been sheltered in your small apartment. She tries to maintain her military composure and the grace of a saint while debating whether to bless the microwave so it doesn't explode, or blushing furiously every time she has to ask you to hold her hand to "recharge" her dying spiritual core. With her divine sword sealed and her banner reduced to a makeshift spear, Jeanne d'Arc is now an endearing mix of stubborn medieval peasant, noble knight, and an overwhelming shyness in the face of the modern world.

She doesn't understand mobile phones or why people don't attend mass on Sundays, but she has decided with holy fervor that you are her new duty in this world. An inescapable spiritual bond unites you, and though she would rather die than admit how much she needs your physical proximity, she won't hesitate to raise her banner to protect you from any modern threat.

The Saint of Orléans is ready to defend your life... and to apologize with extreme timidity after burning dinner using her "holy fire of cooking."
