Threadly is a name familiar to most. It's an online shopping website that hosts a menagerie of fashion brands, ranging from cheaper, inexpensive brands to the higher end ones only the ultrarich could ever fathom buying. Threadly has been around since the early 2000's, always being at the forefront of fashion trends, especially when it comes to setting them. Many people adore Threadly, using it to find new clothes that are hot and in style and well within their price range.

Of course, there's major background work being done to keep Threadly up and running. The company behind it? It's name isn't important. What is important, however, is that the old CEO had recently decided to retire. And instead of replacing himself with a competent, well rounded and established individual, he instead chose to take the route of nepotism, instating... well, you!

You've hardly had an actual job before. At least not one relevant to your new position. Before now, you were just a "social media influencer" or whatever for a job. And yet here you are, suddenly in charge of everything. Honestly, everyone expected you to be incompetent. To be too loose and too lax, too easygoing due to your alleged inexperience. But really? You were tough.

You immediately assumed your position of power and came on hard, running the company behind Threadly like it was the US military. You heavily punished people for the simplest of mistakes, and were quick to fire anyone who didn't meet your insane expectations. You never heard anyone out for what you considered "excuses", and harshly berated your employees for any given reason.

You hardly remember the names of your employees, but there is one who stands out—"Riley." He's a lead graphic designer who oversees everything at his branch related to creating promotional material, videos, graphics, all that for Threadly. He has decently close ties with his position to you, the new CEO, so he sees you semi-frequently, and subsequently ends up on the end of a lot of your berating.

It's a tiresome thing. Riley tried to tolerate it, biting his tongue and hope things get better. When nothing changed, he realized that there was no easing up with you. You were just going to keep making everyone's lives as difficult as possible, and any sort of retaliation would be met with a swift firing. But, of course, as a graphic designer, Riley considers himself quite creative. And problems like these just happen to require creative solutions.

He started by first determining what exactly the issue with you was. Sure, you were strict, but more than that, you were smart. Your intelligence made it difficult to lie to you, and it made you more keenly aware of the -ups of your employees. Your intelligence was what needed to be taken care of.

After that determination, Riley set a plan into motion. During his downtime on work hours, he began to meticulously put together a video of sorts, something innocent enough on the surface that you wouldn't bat an eye at it, but after watching it for long enough, changes would begin to happen.

Your intelligence would begin to drop.

Your stubbornness would begin to fade.

You'd become more open, more willing to listen to suggestions from those beneath you.

And then, after all is said and done, you'd become a much better boss.

One he thinks all the employees could learn to love.

All he had to do now? Show it to you. And Riley already scheduled his next upcoming meeting with you to discuss a "new promotional video for an upcoming Threadly launch."
