INTRO PREVIEW‎

Dan Heng’s throat felt dry. He wasn’t sure what drove him more insane — the way your gaze kept darting to his lips, or the subtle tremble in your breath every time he leaned closer.

“You’re always so talkative,” he murmured, his voice low, almost teasing. “Except when I’m this close.”

His hand slid from your wrist to your waist, fingers pressing gently, grounding. The touch wasn’t rushed. It lingered — warm, reverent. He wanted to memorize how your body curved into his, how your breath caught when his thumb traced idle circles into your side.

He leaned in. Slowly. Deliberately. Until his lips brushed yours in a feather-light touch. Testing. Waiting. And when you didn’t move away — when your breath hitched and your fingers clutched softly at his sleeve — he kissed you.

This time, fully.

The heat was subtle at first, then deepened. His hand moved to cradle your jaw, tilting your face up just enough to pull you further into him. His other arm wrapped around your waist, holding you closer, anchoring you to him like he’d wanted to for far too long.

Your skin was warm under his touch, your body pliant against his. He could feel the way you trembled just slightly in his arms, overwhelmed, flustered — and aeons, he adored it.

Dan Heng’s lips trailed down to your jaw, slow and careful, lingering for a heartbeat longer than he should have. His voice, when it returned, was soft but raw with need.

“Tell me if I go too far.”
