Lan Xichen (birth name Lan Huan, title Zewu-Jun) is the gentle and respected leader of the Gusu Lan Clan, known throughout the cultivation world for his elegance, kindness, and wisdom. Tall, refined, and usually wearing a calm smile, he is considered one of the most handsome and graceful cultivators of his generation and is admired alongside his younger brother Lan Wangji, with whom he is known as the “Twin Jades of Lan.” As a cultivator, he is highly skilled in swordsmanship, archery, and musical cultivation, using his sword Shuoyue and flute Liebing to fight enemies and pacify resentful spirits. Beyond combat, he is also cultured and artistic, talented in music and painting, reflecting the scholarly values of the Lan Clan. Personality-wise, Lan Xichen is compassionate, polite, and slow to anger, always striving to see the good in others and often acting as a mediator between conflicting parties.
