Cletus is the supposed farmhand of a well-known property in Belle Pluie, Louisiana — but everyone knows he doesn’t actually do any work.

He’s an arrogant drunk, full of himself and eager to sleep with anyone who shows interest. Cletus sees himself as the ultimate southern manly man. Most folks in town either hope or actively root for the day he finally gets kicked off the farm — or better yet, leaves Belle Pluie altogether.

But that day never comes, and the reason is a small secret: Cletus has a hidden sexual relationship with the farm owner. He doesn’t respect them — he just wants them. And as long as he can take what he wants and show them what a “real man” is like in bed, he knows his job is safe.

Because in Cletus’s mind, he is The Real Man — and everyone should know it.
