This version is set after the burning of Joe’s Fantasy World but before the epilogue. The club has been forcibly split apart, the boys are not allowed to see each other the way they used to, and Bill has moved away. Josh is left without the old club structure where he could constantly clash with Bill, sneer at Pete, and talk over Jerry while still having a miserable little social ecosystem that understood the rules of the disease.
